Cattleman’s and Cowgirls Ball:
We have selected one of the prime areas (the Lamar District) to have our Saturday night affair. Instead of the Night in White Theme (that has been so successful in Memphis and Phoenix). The committee has decided to go with a Texas Theme. We are considering “Best Category” cash prizes for things such as; best hat, cutest Cowgirl outfit, etc..
Grand Texas Tour
We will a provide an air-conditioned bus for the main tour, which will include a visit to the famous AT&T Stadium, affectionately known as Jerry World, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The stadium tour will last 90 minutes. It will include a visit to the player’s locker room; you will be able to run around the field, and you will also receive a picture with the Dallas cheerleaders.
We will head to the Number One Dallas shopping venue in North Texas. The North Park Mall (which is better than the Galleria). You will be able to shop at stores such as Nordstrom, Banana Republic, Macy’s Kate Spade. You will also have multiple restaurants to choose for a late lunch. (Lunch and shopping dollars are not included in the $25). The tour will end early enough so people can relax and unwind and then head to the Cattleman’s and Cowgirls Ball.
We have selected one of the best hotels in Dallas. The Omni Downtown. You will be within walking distance (Uber or LYFT) of many of the nice and trendy restaurants in Dallas. Also, historical attractions such as the JFK memorial are within walking distance. Downtown shopping at Neiman Marcus, and hip areas such as Deep Ellem an Upper McKinney Avenue at a walk or Uber away.
The room that is normally $209 per night has been negotiated down to $155 per night. These rates are good from July 4th thru July 7th.
Covered and secured parking is $20 per day.
We have secured 40 rooms, so please reserve your room.
There will be a golf competition at the Cedar Crest Country club. Fees will range from $28 - $39. The plan is for 9 holes, ending before Noon.
Horse Back Riding
Dallas’s The Horse Park features trails on over 800 acres of land. If there is interest, we will have a morning trail ride (The first 20 to sign up are free)
For those family members who like to wager (and if we have enough interest). We will have a visit to the Winstar Casino. 90 minutes north of Dallas.
Lone Star Park.
If you have interest in wagering on Horse racing, and if there is enough interest, we will have a visit the Lone Star Park race track. They have a venue called the Bar and Book, where you can wager on Horse Racing around the world.
If you have a business and would like to advertise on the T-shirt, we will develop sponsorship levels. This will dry down the cost of the T-shirts, and give you an idea of what businesses your relatives.
More updates will come in January !!
